I only worked at PGAL in Las Vegas for 2 or 3 months, but I really enjoyed my time there. I was seeking an opportunity that wasn't offered locally during my undergrad years, and I definitely found it. I made a trip of trying to find a nice practicum, and was disappointed when after a week I hadn't interviewed anywhere. A couple days after I arrived back in Edmonton I got a call from the Principal at the PGAL's Las Vegas office. He had reviewed the portfolio I left with his staff, and I was invited to work with them for the summer. I built the models independently, except the proposal model, which came up out of the blue, and I gratefully received help from two co-workers to complete it in time to meet the submission deadline.
